The Manuscript is IN!

I just sent the manuscript in for The Portable Dad.

It's scary. I didn't expect it to be scary, but I was very nervous and a little hesitant to hit the send button. Thanks to all - especially Sonnjea for all her proofreading! - and I'll let you know what happens next.

And if you have kids, friends or relatives soon to graduate and go off on their own, I have a great gift idea for you!

I know I told you on the phone, but CONGRATULATIONS!! It's so cool you have a book being published. Really, really cool. I'm happy to have been able to help (who knew spotting a typo at 100 paces would be such a useful skill?)

And as soon as there's a way to purchase the book, you can be sure there'll be a Shameless Promotion link on my blog!

I was supposed to do some other work yesterday after getting the manuscript done, but once I sent it, I was done for the day. My mind was not going to get involved in hospitals of molten glass. (Did you know molten glass conducts electricity and solid glass is an insulator?) I've been building a shed, which is coming along quite nicely. Got the siding up and roof sheathed yesterday and the trim up and doors built today. (And primed the siding.) Have to hang doors and shingle the roof and paint, and it'll be a shed. (And build interior shelves, if you're being particular.) Should be done Friday or Saturday, and I'll be sure to post pix.
