Pepper Has Landed

Pepper has landed. It's at East Bay Mini as we speak. In fact, yesterday we got a "Mini Parking Only" stencil in the mail. (Who says Mini doesn't know its marketing?)

There are second thoughts, most of them due to the IRS and our (soon-to-be-former) tax guy. There's aso just trying to figure out when the hell we could get there.

At least you know she made the crossing safely! And if you decide you can't take her right now, I'm sure she'll find a good home and I don't think Mini is planning to stop making cars anytime soon!

On the other hand, if you decide to go pick her up next weekend, I'm sure Gus and Idgie will give her a warm welcome!

All true. I think part of the problem is we're too busy to actually find time to go. And that's too busy. And if we had to live like this to drive a car like that, then we don't WANT a car like that.

Maybe the time to go is a week from next Saturday, when I should be done with full-time Stockton work and down to a two-week hand-off to a new guy. We'll see.

Yes, that's way too busy. Great news on the hand-off!

And I agree -- I don't want to work to support things. I'm happy with the things I have and the lifestyle I have. When I was younger, I was intrigued with acquiring stuff. Now I'm all about getting rid of surplus stuff and living with less stuff.

Life's weird.
