This is the car we can expect in about eight to 10 weeks. We went with the Cooper S hardtop, sport package, limited-slip diff, 10-speaker upgraded audio package and bluetooth/ipod ready.
We'll get a confirmation number in a couple of weeks and then be able to track the car from the factory in England to the ship, across the Atlantic, through the Panama Canal, to the port of Los Angeles. Hopefully end of March or so we'll drive it home.

You can pick it up AT the port of los angeles (it's right near here) and drive it home from there! That way you and Mr. Fix-it can go over everything first and make sure the English did it right, and then we can all eat pie.
I cannot figure out a way that OR is on the way to/from the port of LA - but, with such good gas mileage, why not head this way too?!

I'd love to pick it up at the Port of LA and avoid that whole paying for it thing, but I doubt East Bay Mini will go for that. Road trips will be planned (or unplanned but still happen...)
