So if this swine flu thing gets bad, send all correspondence directly to the bunker. That's why all that canned chili and Milwaukee's Best is down there...
Oh! One thing I learned from an excellent book called The Great Influenza about the flu pandemic of 1918-1919 is that most people who got it in the spring didn't die, and the mortality rate was HUGELY higher the following fall, when it hit with a vengeance.
That's evidently true of most outbreaks. So really, you're better off getting it now rather than when cold and flu season hits.

As long as you don't die, that is.
Hey there. Rob Wallace from Scotland here. I was thinking the same thing... seriously. All the best!
Good to know, I think...
And cheers to Rob in Scotland - it's cheap beer, but still toasts
can you use your Elliott logic to find a way to safely store my favorite chilli fixins: diced onions, shredded cheese, cornbread and hot fudge?
Hot fudge? On chili? Seriously?
You left out pie...
And the important question... is there room in the bunker for refuges from the South? If we bring our own chili?
BYOC.
We'll work out proper quarantine procedures and chili (and pie) requirements.
BYOPPS
Bring Your Own Pulled-Pork Sandwiches
And biscuits. We'll eat them all friggin' night...
Only if there's honey butter
Well, it's YOUR bunker - I'd say you'd better make sure there's some honey butter down there!
